Inside the bright yellow Davis-Horton House, you’ll be able to wander through the different rooms which are filled with furniture and artifacts from the past.
Rooms have been resorted to how they would have looked in the 1800s and onwards with collections from different bygone times.
You’ll have to plan your itinerary around visiting this place. The museum is only open from Wednesday to Saturday.

Because a lot of these items are handmade or one-offs, expect to pay “artisan” prices. This isn’t a place to find bargains. That said, it’s definitely worth a browse as there’s plenty to see, smell, and even taste!
💡 Pro Tip: Although there is free street parking on Sundays, it can be difficult to find a spot. There are paid parking lots nearby which cost around $15 for a couple hours.

How To Get To The Gaslamp Quarter
Driving might be the best option to get there quick but parking isn’t easy here. We’ve spent 10-15 minutes looking for street parking. Or you can pay to park in one of the parking garages.
You can take a taxi, Uber/Lyft from anywhere in San Diego. Ask to be dropped off anywhere from Broadway to Harbor Drive, and from 4th to 6th Avenue.
You can also get here via public transportation. Take the Orange Line Trolley to Gaslamp Quarter Station.
If you’re staying in downtown San Diego, check on Google Maps if it’s walkable. Gaslamp Quarter is in the center of downtown so it might just be a 10-15 minute walk for you.
